MILITARY CROSS (GVR). Inscribed on reverse Lieut H. Jones 114th Battery A.F.A. Villiers Bretoneaux Vauvillers 8th & 9th August 1918. Extremely fine.

C.G.: No.31 4Mar1919. Lt.H.Jones 5th Div.Am.Col. For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty as liaison officer with the infantry. He went forward to ascertain the exact locations of machine gun positions holding up the infantry. Though wounded he located the guns and got the information through to the artillery. He showed great pluck and determination. With some research.
