SOUTH AFRICA, pair of chain mail epaulettes together with an original note glued to a board and written in 1902 that reads, 'Epauletts (sic) from uniform of a man in the Carbineers. Found near Bulawayo South Africa 1902'. In a plastic display storage container, oxidation on the metal, foxing on the note, very good.
