GROUP OF FOUR: Military Cross (GVR); 1914-15 Star; British War Medal 1914-18; Victory Medal. First medal inscribed 'For Conspicuous Gallantry Captain F.Angel 5th Battn Aust Infy August 1918', 2nd Lieut F.Angel 1 Div Trn.A.I.F. on second medal, Captain F.Angel A.I.F. on third and fourth medals. First medal engraved, others impressed. Very fine.

M.C.: C.G.: No.67 3Jun1919. 'For conspicuous gallantry and able leadership of the front line company in the attack on St Martin's Wood on the 23rd August 1918. His company secured all its objectives and he personally reconnoitered the left flank under heavy fire, besides moving about among his men cheering and steadying them.' W.I.A. 8Jul1916.
