SICILY, Syracuse, Philistis wife of Hieron II (275-215 B.C.), silver five litrai, (4.47 g), issued 217-215 B.C., obv. diademed and veiled head of Philistis to left, palm branch behind, rev. biga driven by Nike with horses galloping to left, above **BASILISSAS*, below **FILISTIDOS*, E and dot to left, (S.990, SNG ANS 893, SNG Lloyd 1546, SNG Lockett 1017, Caltabiano [QT XIX] p.175, note the letters]). Toned, good very fine and rare.
