ANCIENT BRITISH, Celtic Coinage, Southern Britain and Thames area, Atrebates, Verica, (c.A.D. 10-40), silver unit, third coinage issued AD 25-35, (1.19 g), obv. two cornucopiae with thyrsus between, [C]O[M] MI F, wine cup below, rev. seated figure to right, holding spear, oval shield behind, CA behind, VERI before, (S.134, Van A.531-1, M 129, BMC 1393-1419). Attractively toned with golden highlights, extremely fine and scarce.
