BEILBY PORTEUS MEDAL 1808, Christ's College, Cambridge, Cambridgshire, (1893), in gold (48mm; 75.53g) (BHM 634), by J.Phillp after G.F.Pidgeon, obverse, laureate, cuirassed draped bust of George III left, reverse, view of Christ's College with tree behind wall at right, edge inscribed, 'Richard. Holmes - 1893.', in case of issue marked on lid lining, 'Gilliam/446. Oxford St. W./And/Serle St. Loncoln's Inn/Established 1690'. Hairlines, extremely fine and rare.
