GAUL, Celtic, Central Gaul, the Sequani, (c.100-50 B.C.), silver quinarius (1.86 g) a Gallic War issue, obv. [TO]GIRIX, helmeted head to left, rev. TO[GIRI], horse galloping left, (CCCBM II 366, KMW 370, Allen & Nash 298, De la Tour 5550); Northeast Gaul, Ambiani, (c.50-30 B.C.), silver unit, (0.64 g), obv. devolved helmeted head right, rev. horse right, annulets to upper left, star to right, wild boar below, (DT 343, Sch 336). Toned, fine and scarce. (2)
