MACEDON, Kingdom of, Philip II, (359-336 B.C.), AE 16, uncertain Macedonian mint, (6.02 g), posthumous issue c.323-315 B.C., obv. Apollo head to right with tainia, dotted border, rev. naked youth on horse to right, above **[FILOPPOU*, below horse AI monogram and B, (cf.S.6696, SNG ANS 905, SNG Greece II 403-404). Dark patina, good very fine, scarce.
