TITUS, under Vespasian as Caesar, (A.D. 69-79), AE dupondius, Samosata in Commagene mint, issued A.D. 74, (14.45 g), obv. laureate head of Titus to right, around T CAESAR IMP PONT, rev. around TR POT COS III CENSOR, winged caduceus between crossed cornucopiae, (S.2472, RIC 761, BMC 891, cf.C.326). Deep green patina, some surface pitting, otherwise very fine and rare.
