CLODIUS ALBINUS, (A.D. 195-197), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued 193-5, (3.20 g), obv. bare head of Clodius Albinus to right, around D CL SEPT AL BIN CAES, rev. around ROM[AE AE] TERNAE, Roma seated left, holding palladium and spear, (S.6146, RIC 11a, RSC 61) (illustrated); another, (3.26 g), rev. Minerva standing to left holding spear shield and olive branch, (S.6144, BMC 98, RIC 7, RSC 48); another, (2.73 g), rev. Aesculapius standing left, feeding snake which coils up around staff at his side, (S.6140, RIC 2, BMC 88, RSC 9); another, (1.93 g), rev. Felicitas standing to left holding sceptre and caduceus, (S.6141, cf.RIC 4, cf.RSC 15). Toned, fine - very fine and scarce. (4)
