CARACALLA, (A.D. 198-217), silver denarius, issued 206-210 A.D., Rome Mint, (3.68 g), RIC 176, BMC 522-523, C.672, obv. laureate head of Caracalla to right, bearded, around ANTONINVS PIVS AVG, rev. VIRTVS AVGVSTOR around, Virtus seated to left, holding Victory and parazonium, resting left, elbow on oval shield, (S.6905, RIC 176, RSC 672). Extremely fine.
