BROKEN HILL SOUTH SILVER MINING COMPANY, share certificate no.8096 for 100 fully paid shares, with vignette at left edge, named to A.S.Fotheringham of Adelaide, dated 10 May 1900, reverse with signature of transferor and Transferee, D Morton Tweedie; another identical share certificate no.14220 for five shares, named to Janet E.Codrington of Sydney, dated 16 January 1907, reverse with signature of transferor, the executor of the will of J.E.Codrington and the transferee, David Henry Crone; Maori Queen Proprietary Gold Dredging Company, Ovens Valley, Harrietville, share certificate no.1855 for one fully paid share, with vignette at left edge, named to Mrs Annie Mitchell of Balaclava, Vic, dated 31 May 1911, transfer on reverse signed by shareholder, printer's name, Victorian Printing Works. All with the usual pin-holes, otherwise very fine. (3)

A.S.Fotheringham was on the Executive Committee of the National Memorial Fund in South Australia established to remember the Fallen of the South African War.

David Morton Tweedie was a solicitor, a Lieutenant in the Militia Infantry in South Australia, an opal merchant in South Australia, was ordained a priest for the Liberal Catholic Church in 1916, and appointed Regionary Bishop for Australia in 1932.

Janet Codrington died at age 54 at Private Hospital, Darlinghurst, Sydney, NSW. She was the wife of the late Alick Codrington formerly of Coolootai Station, Warialda, NSW.
