OTTOMAN EMPIRE, 16th-17th century, large chain mail armour with long sleeves composed of interlocking iron rings individually hand forged and riveted, extending below the waist line (length from shoulder to bottom edge approx 76cm; weight approx 9kg), and with a central opening at the front that originally was fastened with a leather strap. Some minor damage, otherwise free of repairs and reconstructions and in good condition considering its age.

Together with a Certificate of Authenticity No.120341 from Hundred & One Antiques, Toronto, Canada.
