OTTOMAN EMPIRE, early 19th century, kard knife with 23cm wootz (Damascus, watered) steel blade of good contrast pattern, with light green jade handle with gilded silver bolster and red stone bezel set at the pommel, an original scabbard in red cloth, this faded, with finely gilded silver locket and chape, total length including scabbard 38.5cm. Very fine.
