GROUP OF SIX: 1939-45 Star; Atlantic Star; War Medal 1939-45; Korea Medal 1950-53; United Nations Korea Medal 1950-53; Royal Naval Long Service and Good Conduct Medal (EIIR Britt:Omn). First three and fifth medals unnamed as issued, C/KX.95814. R.P.Sole. P.O.S.M. R.N. on fourth medal, KX.95814 R.P.Sole. P.O.S.M. H.M.S.Encore. on last medal. Both named medals impressed. Ribbons with adhesive tape on reverse, otherwise very fine - extremely fine.
C/KX prefix indicates an enlistment at Chatham as Stoker. P.O.S.M. is a Petty Officer Stoker Mechanic. H.M.S. Encore was an Envoy Class rescue tug commissioned on 11 May 1945 and out of service in 1967 - offered for sale 14 March 1967.
