THE AUSTRALIAN REFEREE NEWSPAPER, Champion Cup, fob in gold and enamel (9ct, 10.8g, 29mm) by B.H.J. Birmingham, obverse, gold and enamelled Australian Coat of Arms affixed in centre, engraved on reverse 'Edinburgh City Police/A.B.C./W.B.Thomson/1923'. In an Edwards Diamond Merchants, Glasgow case, extremely fine.

The Referee Newspaper was first published in 1886 in Sydney by Edward Lewis and closed 31 August 1939.
