LOVE TOKEN, created on a shaved down halfpenny (6.07g), with a featured border on both sides, obverse, inscribed, 'JOHN/GRIFFISS/1747', reverse inscribed, 'MARY/GRIFFISS/1747' and with a flower above and a leaf wreath below. Very fine.

Perhaps a token of love from John to Mary on the occasion of their wedding.
