George Alfred Emanuel Kirkwood, born 14Dec1893 at Launceston, Tas; served in WWI with Merchant Navy; after WWI Kirkwood worked as a barman at the Renown Hotel in Launceston, Tas; WWII: Enl.07Nov1939 at Hobart, Tas; Disch.18Feb1944 Medically Unfit, as Sergeant ex Accounts Office.
