GREAT BRITAIN, British Army 'Brigade of Guards' military side drum, a modern contemporary made rope tension example, the body composed of highly decorated painted metal panels, to the top a banner marked 'Brigade of Guards' over a large Royal Atrms of Great Britain with King's crown and 'GR' cypher, the Order of St Patrick at bottom centre,flanked on either side of the royal cypher are the regimental battle honours of the Brigade, at the base of the cypher the Brigade regimental guard badges, wooden rims painted red on the edges with dark blue centre stripe with wavering white line in blue, white rope tension strings and leather heads (approx ht 36.5cm, dia 37cm). The drum skin with evidence of use, otherwise excellent condition.
