BORNEO, Dayak tribal sword, slightly curved blade (54cm), with egraved decoration on both sides of ricasso, bone handle with wrapping and decorative engraving at top with hair sticking out from the pommel, wooden scabbard with carved decorative sections and wrapped with coloured binding and also with hair hanging from the top, middle and bottom sections, behind the scabbard is a crudely made leather holder and a woven carry-cord (overall length in scabbard 68cm and without scabbard 66.5cm). The engraved section of the handle damaged on one side, the leather holder cracked and torn, the carry-cord broken at one end, otherwise very good.
