THESSALY, The Perrhaebi, (480-400 B.C.), silver hemidrachm (2.446 grams), obv. naked Thessalian youth, restraining forepart of unrully bull to right, he wears a chlamys hanging loose, within dotted border, rev. forepart of bridled horse prancing to right within incuse square, across **P E*, (S.2169 [£250], cf.BMC 1 (p.39), Weber 2887 [p.225, Pl.111 same dies], SNG Fitz. 2429). Reverse porosity and surface roughness, otherwise very fine and very rare.
