SYRIA, Kingdom of, Demetrius II, (129-126/5 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (14.09 g), Tyre mint, dated SE 184, issued 129-8 B.C., obv. diademed head of Demetrius II to right, rev. eagle standing to left with closed wings on prow of galley, palm branch behind, Tyre monogram above club to left, year to right **DPR*, other letters in field, ZR monogram between legs, around **BASILEWS [DHMHTIOU]*, (cf.S.7105, SC.2195.2a, DCA 230). Deeply toned, struck off centre on reverse, nearly extremely fine.
