SYRIA, Uncertain mint, possibly from Seleucis and Pieria, Nero and Divus Claudius (A.D. 54-68), silver tetradrachm, (14.00 g), issued 63-68, obv. laureate head of Nero to right star behind, around NERO CLAVD DIVI CLAVD F CAESAR AVG GER, rev. laureate head of Claudius to right, around DIVOS CLAVD AVG GERMANIC PATER AVG, (S.640, RPC 4123, Syd. [Caesarea] 65, RSC 2). Toned, hoard patination and inclusions very fine and scarce.
