ANONYMOUS SERIES, (225-212 B.C.), silver didrachm (quadrigatus), (6.45 g), uncertain mint (possibly Rome), obv. laureate janiform head, border of dots, rev. Jupiter in quadriga to right, driven by Victory, Jupiter holds sceptre and hurls thunderbolt, in exergue ROMA incuse on tablet, (S.31, Cr.28/3, Syd. 64, RSC 23). Very fine/extremely fine, obverse some roughness, otherwise very scarce.
