T. VETTIUS SABINUS, (c.70 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.44 g), obv. Tatius head to right, TA below chin, S C before, SABINVS behind, rev. togate figure holding sceptre in walking biga to left, IVDEX above, ear of corn behind, [T].VETTIV[S] in exergue, (S.339, Cr.404/1, Syd.905, B. Vettia 2). Serrated edge, slightly off centred on reverse, otherwise nearly very fine and rare.

Ex Noble Numismatics Sale 62, lot 2430 and previously ex Buckland Dix & Webb London, October 6 1993 (lot 104 part).
