ATTICA, Aegina, (c.370 B.C.), silver drachm, (5.130 grams), obv. land tortoise with large square segmented shell, rev. incuse square divided by thin bands into five compartments, two pellets in one area, (S.2605, BMC 170, SNG Delepierre 1545, Oeconomides, 'The ICGH 101 Hoard and the Circulation of the Tortoise in the Peloponnessus in Florilegium Numismaticum pp.307-312, Nos.5-29). Bright, very fine/extremely fine, partial head and sharp flipper, Rare.
