HADRIAN, (A.D. 117-138), silver denarius, issued 118, Rome mint, (3.07 g), obv. laureate head to right of Hadrian, draped on far shoulder, around IMP CAESAR TRAIAN HADRIANVS AVG, rev. P M TR P COS II, Pietas, veiled, standing left, raising right hand, PIE TAS to left and right, (cf.S.3512, RIC 45a, RSC 1027) (illustrated); another, issued 118 A.D., (3.50 g), rev. Pax standing left with branch and cornucopiae, (S.3511, RIC 44, RSC 1015b); another, issued 118 A.D., (3.38 g), rev. Salus seated left extending patera to serpent rising from altar, (cf.S.3539, RIC 46, RSC 1350). Toned, nearly very fine - very fine. (3)
