ANTONINUS PIUS, as Caesar, (A.D. 138-161), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued 138, (3.25 g), obv. IMP T AEL CAES ANTONINVS, bare head to right, rev. TRIB POT COS, Concordia standing right, holding patera, (cf.S.4135, RIC 450, RSC 1061); Faustina Senior, wife of Antoninus Pius, (died A.D.141), silver denarius, (3.46 g), issued 145, Rome mint, obv. draped bust to right of Faustina, around DIVA AVG FAVSTINA, rev. Pietas standing to left dropping incense on lighted altar and holding box, around PIETA S AVG, (S.4598, BMC 311, RIC 394a, RSC 234). Lightly toned, very fine, both scarce. (2)
