ASIA MINOR, Troas, Ilium (Troy), Claudius with Britannicus (41-54 A.D.), issued 41-42, AE 18, (6.35 g), obv. bare head of Claudius right, rev. bare head of Britannicus right, sceptre surmounted by owl and monogram before, (S.498, RPC 2314, SNG Cop 388, Bellinger T123). Toned with uneven hoard patination, possibly laminated, nearly very fine and extremely rare.
