REPUBLIC, (c.265-242 B.C.), AE Aes Grave sextans (36.49 g), obv. Tortoise, rev. six-spoked wheel, with pellets between wheel, (S.555, Thurlow-Vecchi 35, Crawford 24/7, Haeberlin Pl. 25, 17). Attractive green patina, possibly lacquered, nearly very fine and rare.
