REPUBLIC, Anonymous, silver denarius, (206-195 B.C.), uncertain mint in southeast Italy, possibly Sardinia, (4.32 g), obv. helmeted head of Roma to right, X behind, border of dots, rev. the Dioscuri galloping right, spearhead below right, ROMA below, (S.39, Cr.88/2b, Syd 222). Attractively toned, nearly extremely fine and very scarce.
