LEPIDUS AND OCTAVIAN, (Spring - Summer 42 B.C.), silver denarius, Italian mint, (3.98 g), obv. bare head of Lepidus to right, around LEPIDVS PONT MAX III V R.P.C., rev. bare head of Octavian to right, around CAESAR IMP III VIR R P C, (S.1523, Cr.495/2C, RSC 2, Syd.1323). Lightly toned, off centre on reverse and areas of flat striking, good very fine and rare.
