L SERVIUS RUFUS, (43 B.C.), plated silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.25 g), obv. bare head (possibly Brutus) right, around L SERVIVS RVFVS, rev. The Dioscuri standing facing, each holding a spear with swords strapped to waist, (S.503, Cr.515/2, Syd.1082, RSC Sulpicia 10). Toned, well struck, loss of plating on some high points, otherwise good very fine and rare.
