AHENOBARBUS (IMPERATOR RENEGADE REPUBLICAN NAVAL COMMANDER), (died c.30 B.C.), silver denarius, issued 41 B.C., mint travelling with Ahenobarbus, (3.73 g), obv. bare head of Ahenobarbus to right, to right AHENOBAR before, rev. prow to right with a naval trophy mounted onboard, below CN DOMITIVS IMP, (S.1456, Cr.519/2, Syd.1177). Attractively toned, well centred, nearly very fine - very fine and very rare.
