CIVIL WARS, (A.D. 68-69), silver denarius (2.45 g), minted in Gaul, obv. helmeted bust of Mars to right, around [MARS VLTOR], rev. Aquila between two legionary standards; altar to right of aquila, SIGNA [P R] below, (S.2061, RIC 51, RSC 406, BMC 39, Martin 60). Toned, short on flan, porous surface, fine and very rare.
