PESCENNIUS NIGER, (A.D. 193-194), silver denarius, Antioch mint, issued A.D. 193-194, (3.84 g), obv. laureate head of Pescennius Niger to right, around [IMP] CAES C PESCE NIGER IVST AVG, rev. around BON[I] EVENT, Bonus Eventus or Fides standing to left, holding corn ears and plate of fruit, (cf.S.6102, RIC 5b, RSC 10). Toned, struck off centre, some surface pitting, otherwise nearly very fine and very rare.
