CARACALLA, (A.D. 198-217), silver antoninianus, issued 215, Rome mint, (5.37 g), obv. radiate bust draped and cuirassed to right of Caracalla, around ANTONINVS PIVS AVG GERM, rev. Sol standing facing head to left, holding globe and raising hand, around P M TR P XVIII COS IIII P P, (cf.S.6777, RIC 264, RSC 287). Toned, nearly extremely fine and very scarce.
