BALBINUS, (238 A.D.), silver denarius, Rome Mint, (2.48 g), obv. laureate bust of Balbinus draped and cuirassed to right, seen from the front, IMP C D CAEL BALBINVS AVG around, rev. CONCORDIA AVGG, Concordia seated left holding patera and cornucopiae, (cf.S.8494, RIC 1, RSC 5a). Deeply toned, surface porosity, fine and rare.
