VALENS, (A.D. 364-378), silver siliqua, Trier mint, issued A.D. c.367-375, (2.36 g), obv. pearl-diademed head of Valens to right, around DN VALEN S PF AVG, rev. VRBS ROMA, Roma seated to left on throne holding spear and Victory on globe, TRPS. in exergue, (S.19675, RIC 27b, RSC 109a). Toned, mild surface pitting, nearly extremely fine.
