ROYAL SOCIETY FOR THE PREVENTION OF CRUELTY TO ANIMALS BRONZE MEDAL, (1952), with FOR HUMANITY pin-back ribbon suspender, edge inscribed, 'V.Frost.1952', in case of issue, and with framed certificate dated 21st February 1952. Case with some surface loss, certificate with some age toning, medal uncirculated.

The Bronze Medal of the Society awarded to V.Frost for his courage and humanity in rescuing a dog from a disused shaft at Ballarat, Victoria, on June 9th 1951.

Mr Frost of Nerrina, a suburb of Ballarat in Victoria, was lowered on a rope down an 80ft disused mine shaft at Nerrina to rescue a small Australian terrier. The medal and framed citation were presented to him by Mr G.Sutton, President of the Victorian S.P.A. at the Ballarat Branch.
