VESPASIAN, (A.D. 69-79), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 72-3 (3.506 grams), obv. laureate head of Vespasian to right, around IMP CAESAR VESP [AVG PM COS IIII], rev. simpulum, sprinkler, jug and lituus, AVGVR TRI POT across, (S.2282 [£65 VF], RIC 42, RSC 45). Large flan, nearly extremely fine and rare in this condition.
