ANCIENT BRITISH, Southern Britain, inscribed issue, Atrebates and Regni, Eppillus (c.10 B.C. - A.D. 10), gold quarter stater, Eppillus early type, (1.20 g), Calleva Mint, obv. CALLE[VA] inscription in dotted border, six pointed star below, rev. Celticized horse to right, EPPI above horse daisy below, (S.95, Van A. 407-1). Good very fine and scarce.

Ex Mark E. Freehill Collection, and previously from Noble Numismatics Sale 53 (lot 915).
