EARLY ANGLO-SAXON PERIOD, Frisian (Continental) imitation silver sceatta, c.695-740 A.D., (1.22 g), obv."plumed bird right", rev. pellets below, abstract VOTA standard, (S.790C, Metcalf 201, E series issue, variety G). Sharply struck and toned, extremely fine.
