HENRY III, (1216-1272), silver penny, long cross issue, class 3b, issued 1248-1250, (1.34 g), rev. ION/ON/GLO/VCE, Gloucester Mint, (S.1363, N.987). Nearly extremely fine, with even grey tone and very scarce.

Ex Mark E. Freehill Collection, from Noble Numismatics Sale 60 (lot 3613) and from the Richard Cyril Lockett collection with his ticket (3/-) and illustrated on supplementary plate 76 (row 7 no 4), Glendining's June 6-9 1955 (lot 1203 part) and with Dave Hess, Baton Rouge Louisiana envelope.
