HENRY III, (1216-1272), silver penny, long cross issue, class 5c, issued 1251-1272, (1.49 g), rev. ROB/ERT/ON C/ANT, Canterbury Mint, (S.1369, N.993). Extremely fine and scarce thus.

Ex Mark E. Freehill Collection, from Noble Numismatics Sale 51 (lot 1201), coming from the Slype find, (West Flanders, property of Baron Maleingreau D'Hembise) and Richard Cyril Lockett collection with his ticket and illustrated from the supplemenary plate 79 (row 3 no 4), Glendining's June 6-9 1955 (lot 1207 part) and with Dave Hess, Baton Rouge Louisiana envelope and from Noble Numismatics Sale 49 (lot 2444, where it is illustrated).
