LOKRIS, Lokris Opuntia, (c360s B.C.), silver stater, (12.15 g), obv. head of Persephone left, wreathed with three wheat leaves and wearing a triple pendant earring, rev. OPON TI**WN*, Ajax advancing right, nude but for crested helmet, brandishing sword and shield decorated with a serpent, spear head to right between legs, (S.2326, Delbridge Corpus Group 6, cf.70b, BCD 18 and 455.5 [same obverse die]). Bright, good very fine/extremely fine, rare.
