BITHYNIA, Kalchedon, (c.250-240 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.71 g), imitating Lysimachos type tetradrachms, obv. diademed head of the deified Alexander to right, with horn of Ammon, rev. **KALCA DONIWN* to right and left, Athena Nikephoros seated left, left arm resting on shield, spear behind, AI monogram to inner left, grain ear in exergue, (S.-, Seyrig, Monnaies Pl.24, 21, RG 22, Pl.XLVI, 12 = De Luynes 2413 [same reverse die]. SNG Black Sea 131 = BMC 21 [same dies]). Good very fine, light porosity, die break in field on obverse, extremely rare.
