SYRIA, Seleucis and Pieria, Antiochia ad Orontem (Antioch), Volusian, (251-3 A.D.), AE 28, (19.64 g), obv. around [AYTOK K **G AF]IN GAL* OVEN **D* **OVOLOCCIANOC CEB*, radiate and draped bust of Volusian to right, rev. ANTIOXE**W*N MHTRO PO**LW*N tetrastyle shrine containing City-goddess seated facing on rock, river-god Orontes swimming at feet, in field above temple roof **D* E, in exergue SC, (S.4394, SNG Cop. 295, BMC 665, Butcher 504c). Dark brown patina, surface pitting, nearly very fine or better and rare.
