TIBERIUS, (A.D. 14-37), AE as, Rome mint, issued A.D., 22-23, (10.28 g), obv. bare head to left, around TI CAESAR DIVI AVG F AVGVST IMP EIII, rev. PONTIF MAXIM TRIBVN POTEST XXIIII around, SC in centre, (S.1770, RIC 44 var., BMC 91 var.). Off centred on reverse, error obverse legend EIII for VIII. Nearly extremely fine and an unpublished variety, extremely rare.
