GALBA (A.D. 68-69), AE dupondius, Rome mint, issued A.D. June-August 68, (13.87 g), obv. laureate head of Galba to right, around IMP SER GALBA AVG TR P, rev. around PAX AVGVST, S C either side of Pax standing to left, holding branch and cornucopiae, (cf.S.2129, RIC 370, C.155). Deep green patina, good very fine with a strong portrait and scarce.
Ex Neal Archer Collection. Purchased at Christies October 1992.
